BWT besthead FLEX 3/8" is a universal filter head designed for standard BWT water+more replacement filter cartridges. It is intended for professional water treatment systems used with coffee machines, water dispensers, vending systems and other commercial equipment.
One of the key advantages of besthead FLEX is the modular FLEX connection system. The connectors are installed directly into the filter head without additional adapter nipples and can be positioned in 30° increments. This makes installation easier in confined spaces and allows hoses to be routed more efficiently.
The filter head features an adjustable bypass with a locking mechanism. Depending on the installed cartridge, source-water characteristics and required outlet-water quality, the bypass setting can be adjusted according to the relevant BWT cartridge specification.
The integrated EASY Vent valve simplifies flushing and deaeration after installation or cartridge replacement. An automatic water shut-off function closes the water supply when the cartridge is removed, making routine filter replacement easier without shutting down the entire water supply manually.
BWT besthead FLEX also incorporates two DVGW-tested non-return valves at the inlet and outlet to help prevent unwanted backflow into the cartridge or drinking-water system.
This version is supplied with two 90° FLEX elbow connectors with 3/8" male threads. The operating pressure range is 2−8 bar, permitted water temperature is 4−30°C, and ambient operating temperature is 4−40°C.
The filter head itself does not filter or treat water. Water-treatment performance depends entirely on the BWT cartridge installed in the head.
